In the summer of 2007 there were seven of us who made the trip to Scotland to play the finest links golf courses in the world. We decided to hire a driver to take us from course to course and to the hotels we had reserved for our trip. We have to be the luckiest golfing group in that when we arrived in Scotland, there was David Horne as our escort for the next 10 days. Although we did not all get our luggage at first, David assisted us with more than one trip to the airport. David was a perfect host and little did we know a great tour guide as well. Having graduated with a history degree from the university he had information on any subject we wanted to discuss or location we wanted to see. The trip was fast and furious and David made it seamless in every way. He recommended restaurants for dinner and pubs for cocktails. He even told us of places NOT to go because of their pricing. It seemed that during those 11 days in July of 2007 we all made a new friend as David Horne drove us around Scotland. If I ever have the opportunity to go back to Scotland even without golf as the primary goal, I will contact David to make the arrangements and do the driving for my group. Thank you David.
